Povill

Povill center, located in Olesa de Montserrat, is part of the Creixen network of schools. Its project supports students in their development and ensures their well-being and happiness, with the intention that the school be a space for learning and sharing. It offers early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with Spanish, Catalan, and English present in its activities. Its facilities are distributed across two differentiated centers, centrally located and suitable for the ages and needs of the students and their families.

Project-based work is part of its educational methodology and allows students to develop their skills and learning. In early childhood education, the children themselves are the protagonists of their education, in a family and trusting atmosphere that respects the rhythms and differences of each individual, with play and experimentation as means of discovery and creating bonds with the environment. The educational proposal for this stage includes environments or corners for experimenting, investigating, and coexisting; projects in small groups that promote teamwork and critical thinking; robotics, with learning challenges through technology and the world of programming (bee-bot); progressive mastery of verbal language and introduction to literacy in cursive writing, along with an approach to mathematical concepts through experimentation and symbolic play; sensory experimentation with materials such as textures, water, or light, formulating hypotheses and developing scientific thinking; and environmental awareness through visits to museums, libraries, parks, farms, and theaters.

The center has a family association (AFA) that represents the families of the students and promotes their participation, concerns, and initiatives alongside the school.
