La Luna

La Escuela Infantil La Luna is a private first cycle Early Childhood Education center (0 to 3 years) located in Moralzarzal. Its educational project is based on education in values and respect for each child's concerns and learning pace, inspired by the Reggio Emilia spirit and Pikler-Loczy pedagogy. From the former, it takes the child's leading role, the adult as a guide, observation and documentation as pedagogical tools, the space understood as the third educator, and the atelier as a place that fosters knowledge and creativity. From the latter, it incorporates autonomous play, free movement, quality care during meals, hygiene, or diaper changes, and adult support without directing or forcing.

The Aucouturier psychomotor practice takes place in a specifically designed room where children explore with their bodies and experience sensory experiences. The center also has a Construction Space designed for building and destroying with the company of an adult who provides security, promoting collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving. Additionally, it has incorporated the Createctura project, focused on research and pedagogical innovation through space design, artistic integration, and creativity development, with proposals such as the Sphere Workshop, which combines plastic arts, applied arts, construction, play, and sound and light exploration in small groups with family participation. The work is complemented with natural, recycled, and unstructured materials, and the use of multilingualism (Spanish and English) as a common thread for integral stimulation.

Among its facilities are an atelier, sensory space, sand workshop, multipurpose area, library, dining room, playground, computer room, and a garden of over 500 square meters. The kitchen is in-house, homemade, and prepared on-site with market products, without catering. Communication with families is daily, both in person upon entering the classroom and through the electronic agenda. The center also offers extracurricular activities.
