Escola Marina

Escola Marina is a public center in Montgat. Its educational project is structured around the motto "Everyone learns" and includes early childhood education (second cycle), primary education, and ESO, with Spanish and Catalan as languages. The center has a family association (AFA) and its own teaching space.

Students participate in affective-sexual education workshops adapted to each developmental stage, focusing on self-knowledge, respect, self-esteem, and healthy relationships, as well as a financial culture workshop for sixth-grade students on economic management, savings, and responsibility. The center celebrates Setmana Bio focusing on healthy eating and local organic products, and families visit the school gardens. Collective seasonal works are also created, such as those for winter and autumn, made with recycled materials. In the playground, the "petit bosc" is a corner dedicated to contact with nature, and the Bibliopati functions as an annex to the library for reading during recess. Through the assembly of delegates, coexistence and the Mural of Good Treatment are worked on.

The center develops a responsible digitalization plan aimed at digital competence and the ethical and healthy use of devices, and participates in the "Unexpected Tales" project to promote oral expression in English through the collaborative creation of a story among several centers. In early childhood education, the psychomotricity room incorporates a foam cube pool for free movement and symbolic play. The center has collaborated with the Amics de Can Ruti Association through the CUEME project to promote entrepreneurship.
