Escola Les Muralles

Escola Les Muralles is a public center for early childhood and primary education in Montblanc. It offers the second cycle of early childhood education (3-6 years) and the primary stage (6-12 years), and has a school cafeteria service and a family association (AFA). The center has digital tools and educational platforms, such as Classroom and its own intranet, and publishes the school magazine "L'escola t'anima", which in the 25-26 school year reached its 31st issue coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the school, celebrated with an exhibition of student work.

In early childhood education, learning environments are organized across levels, where boys and girls of different ages share spaces and learn together; among them, theater, library, constructions, art, garden, mini-worlds, mathematics, and robotics. Throughout the year, activities such as end-of-year scavenger hunts by cycles, spring bike rides within physical education, artistic and farm projects, sensory and psychomotor activities, and Nature Week are carried out, in which early childhood education and initial cycle students participate to learn about and care for the environment.

The center works on robotics, programming, and computational thinking in its digital classroom, and develops a digital mentoring and robotics project with micro:bit alongside IES Martí l'Humà, its reference secondary school, where 6th-grade primary and 2nd-year ESO students learn together. It also carries out reading recommendation activities inspired by digital platforms (Bookflix), visits such as that of the regional archive and talks about puberty, and collaborates with Ràdio Montblanc in a storytelling program, in addition to producing its own radio programs.
