San Pablo

San Pablo is a Catholic semi-private school located in Miraflores de la Sierra. It offers families who wish for a Christian education for their children and includes the stages of Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. Its educational project aims for the comprehensive formation of the student, taking the family as a basic framework and enhancing human development, social integration as an agent of transformation of the environment, and the transcendent dimension of the person.

Among the values, attitudes, and behaviors that the center considers essential in this formation are the filial attitude towards God, projected in fraternal love, hope, and joy; respect for life, for the person, for their freedom, and for their rights; a sense of responsibility, solidarity, and coexistence, with a dialoguing and peacemaking attitude; and the capacity for self-evaluation and critical sense to discern and make choices according to Christian values.

In its pedagogical line, the center aims to welcome and accompany each student, favor reflection and inner silence, and educate for the use of free time. It emphasizes the cultivation of intelligence, the formation of will, and the development of memory through study and work techniques, and stimulates learning based on interest and motivation without excluding individual and group effort. Likewise, it works on respect, order, and self-discipline in teamwork, training for decision-making through analysis and criticism, a dynamic presentation of knowledge that prepares for change, and education for peace, cooperation, and solidarity among peoples from the respect for cultural and linguistic plurality. The center offers extracurricular activities in chess, computer science, English, and multi-sport. The English activity is approached with a playful focus, supported by games and audiovisual media, with English as the language used in the classroom, with two weekly sessions of one hour in a specific classroom; in Early Childhood, it seeks to familiarize students with the language and its pronunciation, and in Primary, it aims to improve language skills aimed at obtaining Cambridge qualifications.
