Mimos

La Escuela Infantil Mimos is a private center located in Meco that caters to the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, for ages 0 to 3 years. It offers daycare services for this age group and remains open all year round, with hours from Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

The center has a playroom, school cafeteria, and pick-up and drop-off services at schools. The playroom is open every afternoon from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, it organizes camps during Holy Week, summer, and Christmas; the summer camp runs from June 22 to September 4. For students from schools, it provides breakfast and lunch with different schedule options. It teaches in Spanish and English and offers extracurricular activities.

The educational project puts the knowledge of the team at the service of the children, aiming to help them discover their abilities, enhance their aptitudes, and stimulate their free thinking and actions. Special care is taken for the emotional well-being and the comfort, safety, and tranquility of the students. Learning is based on play and the experimentation of sensations. Activities are designed to exercise intelligence through observation, attention, and imitation. Social skills development is worked on, such as sharing, greeting, waiting for turns, tolerating frustrations, and accepting rules and limits, as well as the acquisition of autonomy habits (washing, dressing, eating). The school maintains close communication with families: it provides a daily report of the day, a quarterly development report, and annual grades at the end of each school year. It defines itself as a school open to parental participation.
