Llar D'infants La Llum

La Llum is a municipal early childhood school for the first cycle (0-3 years) located in Manresa. It is a public center owned by the municipality and managed by the Suara cooperative, which can accommodate children aged between 4 months and 3 years. For the 2026-2027 school year, it has a total capacity of 99 places, distributed in two groups of 13 children aged 1 to 2 years, one mixed group of 13 children aged 1 to 3 years, and two groups of 20 children aged 2 to 3 years.

The educational team works with a methodology based on free experimentation: observing, exploring, manipulating, interacting, and discovering through various materials, spaces, and situations, both with peers and adults. Play is understood as the core of daily life and as a vital necessity and right of children, starting from free play with spaces and materials designed to promote it and placing the child as the protagonist of their learning. The center aims to stimulate the senses and practices respectful, positive parenting with values, focused on the well-being of the child, along with education in values.

The school is envisioned as a community open to families, with whom it shares the educational project and offers support in their daily lives, and as a space for coexistence and participation where children can discover themselves and their natural and social environment. In addition to the early childhood school service, it offers other services open to families in the neighborhood and the city with children up to 6 years old, and organizes open house days and open playground events.
