Escola Muntanya Del Drac

Escola Muntanya del Drac is a public Catalan school located in Manresa. It offers early childhood education, with levels I3, I4, and I5, as well as primary education, and also has classes for P2, P4, P5, and P6. The center provides a school meal service and has a family association (AFA), and maintains a digital center strategy (EDCentre). The school is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Among its educational approaches, play is considered an essential learning tool in early childhood, through which children discover the world, experiment, and develop personal and social skills. The center dedicates spaces to emotional management (Emocionari) and works on morning routines with the distribution of responsibilities among students. It also carries out Espai Natura, a workshop where students leave the classroom to observe and learn in the natural environment of Mas Portell, where they care for a garden with the collaboration of all cycles. Additionally, it organizes cultural outings, such as visits to the theater in Manresa and the CosmoCaixa in Barcelona, as well as theatrical performances, and research projects, including one on medieval Manresa that culminates in the creation of a board game.
