Institución Miramar

Institución Miramar is a private preschool in Málaga with a family tradition since 1993 and more than three decades dedicated to early childhood education. Its team of education professionals has extensive experience, is committed to the center's pedagogical project, and is in continuous training. The school seeks to involve families actively in their children's educational process, participating in joint activities and receiving guidance and educational support to improve their caregiving and parenting skills. It serves the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) and the second cycle (3-6 years), with Spanish and English as languages.

Its methodology is dynamic, motivating, and participatory, inspired by various active methodologies: Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Pikler. The center has integrated these to focus its educational activity on love for nature, respect, and learning through discovery and self-being. The rhythms and needs of the children guide the project, and each course starts from their interests, prioritizing their discovery and self-experience of each event.

The facilities include 600 m² of indoor space and 350 m² of outdoor patio, with equipped, spacious areas with natural lighting and ventilation. It has two baby classrooms, four 1-year-old classrooms, three 2-year-old classrooms, a psychomotricity classroom, a multipurpose classroom, different outdoor recreation areas oriented to each age, a kitchen, and a dining room, a garden, and an elevator. Among its services are the dining room, with its own kitchen where a menu with fresh, organic, and local products is prepared each morning, adapted to each child's developmental stage and intolerances; English, incorporated daily in the classroom and outdoor areas through games, songs, and resources; yoga, which works on breathing and postures to stimulate motor development, balance, confidence, attention, and concentration; and music, with a specific program for early childhood music education. It also offers extracurricular activities and a computer room. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and it is closed on December 24 and 31, January 5, local holidays, and August.
