Paulo Freire

CEIP Paulo Freire is a public center for early childhood and primary education in Málaga, Carretera de Cádiz district. It offers Early Childhood Education (0-3 and 3-6 years) and Primary Education (6-12 years). It is a bilingual center within the Junta de Andalucía network.

The linguistic awareness program begins at age 3 and covers the entire Early Childhood stage. In Primary, the areas of Natural and Social Sciences, Music, Art, and Physical Education are taught in English. French is introduced in 5th and 6th grade of Primary. The center has two conversation assistants from October to May. Each year, an interdisciplinary project is developed around a classic of literature that involves the entire center.

The center offers a dining service, managed by a catering company, with two shifts: one for Early Childhood, 3rd and 4th grade of Primary, and another for 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade of Primary. It also has a morning classroom and an afternoon classroom (from 2 to 3 PM). Extracurricular activities begin in October. Entry and exit are organized through different doors according to the stage and cycle, and on the first day of the school year, there is a staggered entry with welcome activities. New students enter through the secretary's office and are accompanied to their group. The center manages the Chequelibro for students in 1st and 2nd grade of Primary and holds informational meetings at the beginning of the school year.

The center promotes the use of new technologies through the TDE Project. The school library functions as a resource center for teaching and learning, ensuring access to information and supporting teaching tasks. Additionally, the center publishes a parent school section with resources for families and facilitates access to digital books from a publisher.
