Pekes

Pekes is a private preschool located in the Ensanche de Vallecas, in the Villa de Vallecas district (Madrid), which opened its doors in 1977. It caters to the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) and presents its educational project as a space to learn to learn, aimed at the harmonious development of children and the transmission of an education in values. Among its purposes, it declares to contribute to the happiness, freedom, and humanity of the students, as well as to detect any anomalies that may arise in their development.

The center offers a dining service, with daily menus provided by the company Alirsa and prepared by a team of dietitians and nutritionists based on homemade, healthy, balanced food with natural ingredients. It has extended morning hours, from 7:30 to 9:30, within its opening hours from Monday to Friday (9:30 to 17:00), to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life. It offers an English workshop where children become familiar with words and expressions through objects, drawings, games, songs, and bits of intelligence, following common routines.

Its regulations include an individualized adaptation period during the month of September and the use of a school uniform. It also includes health criteria, such as the non-admission of students with fever or infectious diseases, and requests punctuality in arrivals and departures.
