Maria Rodrigo

IES María Rodrigo is a public secondary education institute located in the municipality of Madrid, in the Villa de Vallecas district. It offers Compulsory Secondary Education and also provides high school education, as evidenced by the publication of its PAU exam results. The vehicular language is Spanish, and the center includes English among its teachings.

The center organizes its teaching activities through educational departments and has a secretariat. It has a virtual classroom, uses the ROBLE platform of the Comprehensive Educational Management System, and participates in the ACCEDE program for textbook lending. For students who do not belong to this program, it provides digital backpacks on the Blinklearning platform. The center has an AMPA and the IPAFD sports service. Additionally, it develops a Tutorial Action Plan aimed at supporting students, which includes academic support and study techniques, attention to diversity and students with specific educational support needs, education in values and coexistence, academic and professional guidance, and periodic tutoring and meetings with families.

Among its projects and activities are the Science Club, the School Garden, the Sustainable Schools Plan, and activities related to food and climate change, as well as participation in the Science Entertaining program of the Madrid City Council. The center celebrates Book Day with activities organized by the Spanish Language and Literature department, holds open days to introduce the center, and maintains an informational meeting about Ireland.
