San Viator is a semi-private Catholic educational center in Madrid, founded in 1962 by the Congregation of the Clerics of San Viator and located between the neighborhoods of Usera and Carabanchel. It offers early childhood education (ages 3 to 6), Primary (ages 6 to 12), Secondary (ages 12 to 16), and Bachillerato (ages 16 to 18), with Spanish and English as languages.
Its mission is evangelization through education, with an educational style based on the values of Christian humanism. Among these are the spirit of family in relationships, a reasoned and non-imposing approach to diverse ideas and values, respect for each student's personality and identity, and a level of demand aimed at creating the conditions for academic and human work and training. The center has pastoral care, a unique pedagogical style articulated in basic lines such as family integration, critical awareness, and coexistence, teams and projects, and a reading plan.
Among its services are the school cafeteria, extracurricular activities, urban camps, and morning and afternoon welcome programs Firsts of the Cole and Fun Afternoons, as well as administration and secretariat and a job bank. The school uses the digital platform Educamos for communication with families and has an online store for purchasing uniforms, textbooks, and Chromebooks. In its environment linked to the Viator family, there are the San Viator Sports Club, the CAL Group, the San Viator Choir, the San Viator Scout Group, and the AMPA.
Tuition is free in the state-funded stages. The school may ask for voluntary contributions and charge for services such as lunch.
