San Antonio

Colegio San Antonio is a semi-private Catholic school inspired by Franciscan values, owned by the Province of Capuchinos de España. It is located in the Tetuán district of Madrid. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle, ages 3 to 6) and Primary Education (from 1st to 6th grade), with one class per grade and an average of 21 students per classroom. Its teaching is based on the principles of Christian humanism and attention to diversity, in an educational concert regime and total gratuity.

The center has its origins in 1948 and is primarily oriented towards the children of its geographical area, with special attention to those most in need culturally, socially, and economically. It is an intercultural center, with 185 students from 18 different nationalities, notably including those of Dominican, Filipino, Ecuadorian, and Moroccan origin. It has around twenty qualified and coordinated professionals. To address diversity, it has nine regular classrooms, two and a half classrooms for educational compensation, and part-time therapeutic pedagogy for six students with special educational needs. Additionally, it has a guidance and social work department.

The center participates in the programs "Educar para Ser," aimed at improving self-regulation, and "DYTECTIVE," linked to reading and writing skills. It uses the Dinantia platform for communication between the center, teachers, families, and students. It offers a cafeteria service with school menus and extracurricular activities. Teaching is conducted in Spanish, and among the specialty areas are English, music, physical education, and religion. The schedule is from 09:00 to 17:00. It collaborates with organizations such as Institución Teresiana, Ayuda en Acción, Club Rotario Madrid-Castilla, Acción Social, Cáritas, and Cooperación Internacional, as well as with volunteers.
