Ciudad De Los Muchachos

The Colegio Ciudad de los Muchachos, of the Salesians, is a semi-private center located in Madrid, in the Puente de Vallecas district. It offers Early Childhood Education (second cycle), Primary, Secondary Education (ESO), and Vocational Training, both Intermediate and Higher Degree. Its educational proposal is based on the Preventive System of Don Bosco, founded on reason, religion, and love, and is embodied in a home that welcomes, a school that prepares for life, a parish that evangelizes, and a playground that brings joy. The center has Youth Pastoral, a safe environment, and a reporting channel.

In the Early Childhood stage, from 3 to 6 years old, the work aims to stimulate all personal capacities, both physical and emotional, intellectual, emotional, and social. Autonomy, psychomotricity, logical-mathematical reasoning, literacy, English, art, music, the environment, and emotional intelligence are developed through games and activities. The methodology is organized through corner work and projects, with an active and participatory approach in which the students are the protagonists of their own learning. The stage has nine classrooms, a psychomotricity classroom with adapted materials, a children's dining room, interactive digital boards, computers, an English corner, and educational and recreational materials. It has the BEDA KIDS program, specialized tutor teachers in Early Childhood Education, a psychomotricist, an English specialist, a native conversation assistant, a specialist in Therapeutic Pedagogy, a school counselor, and an educational support teacher. The Early Childhood offer is completed with extended morning hours, dining services, and extracurricular activities.

Among its services are the dining room, French, extracurricular activities organized by Docendo and BTlanguages, a laboratory, and a computer room. The school provides information about textbooks for different stages and about the start-of-year calendar, and organizes open house days for its Vocational Training offer. It also promotes free and subsidized courses related to solar energy and electric vehicles.
