La Estrella Del Pez Luna (Ee.uu)

El Pez Luna is a private active education school located in Madrid. It offers Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary education, with the latter stage incorporated for the 25/26 school year. The curriculum is Spanish and English is also taught. The center applies a reduced ratio, around twelve children per accompanying adult.

In the Primary stage, learning is mainly articulated through four play proposals: classroom work, with manipulative materials for curricular areas; workshops, guided by a workshop leader based on observed interests; projects, research, or creations that extend over time and that the students themselves reflect on and evaluate; and free play, in prepared rooms and environments. Groups are organized according to developmental moments, needs, and types of play, and each group has a tandem of two reference teachers who monitor the group and each child and design the learning dynamics. The week combines moments of base group, grouping by interests, and large group activities. Evaluation follows a constructivist approach, focused on the personal learning process and knowledge construction.

The center has a library, laboratory, computer room, gym, and playground, as well as other spaces such as a multipurpose room, music room, study rooms, plastic expression workshop, and outdoor garden. It offers a cafeteria, school transportation, and extracurricular activities. It organizes open house days for interested families, a summer camp, and open training sessions, including a course on active education and another on childhood sexuality.
