About the school

Colegio Santa Gema Galgani is a bilingual semi-private school in Madrid, located in the Latina district, whose educational proposal, inspired by humanist values, spans from 0 years to Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). The project is structured around four axes: connection with reality, personal reflection, social interaction, and creative action. It features an immersive English environment, has 10,000 m² of sports facilities, and offers a swimming pool, library, sports hall, football field, athletics track, laboratory, computer room, auditorium, cafeteria, school garden, chapel, gym, playground, and children's park. Among its services are school transport, extended hours, early risers, and extracurricular activities.

The initial stage, Santa Gemita, caters to children aged 1 and 2 years and focuses on autonomy, early stimulation, and emotional management, through project-based learning, sensory workshops, play facilities, psychomotor development with neuromotor activities, swimming from the age of two, music, and native English assistants. In early childhood education (3 to 5 years), learning rhythms are respected, and work is done through play, observation, experimentation, project-based learning, corner work, manipulative mathematics, and literacy, with attention to the emotional-affective area. In Primary, emphasis is placed on essential competencies, logical and critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written expression, reading, and interdisciplinary projects, in both Spanish and English.

In Secondary, the Personal Student Plan ensures individualized monitoring, with individual tutoring interviews complementing group ones and a Learning Diary where the student sets and evaluates their goals. The Guidance Department supports students throughout this stage and guides them towards higher studies and the professional world, and a Family School is promoted. In Bachillerato, each student has a mentor who accompanies them individually and carries out a Research Project (TDI).
