About the school

Cucutras is a private early childhood education center located in the Hortaleza district, in the area of Hortaleza and Canillas, in Madrid, authorized and accredited by the Community of Madrid. It is owned by CEI Cucutras S.L. It offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3 years) and the second cycle (3-6 years), and works with both Spanish and English.

The center's English project aims for children to begin understanding and using the English language through its continuous use in daily expressions throughout the day: welcome, assembly, worksheets and intelligence bits, lunch, playground, dining room, bathroom, nap, songs, stories, and farewell. The educational task revolves around play, hygiene, nutrition, and rest, with a playful approach to learning and working with real and manipulable objects. Activities include early stimulation for babies through massages, psychomotricity, plastic, body, and musical expression, and swimming.

The center informs families about their children's educational process through a digital school agenda (nutrition, rest, hygiene, and other notes), personal meetings with the tutor, a report at the end of each evaluation, and quarterly meetings, in addition to a Parents' School led by the center's psychopedagogue. The facilities, covering nearly 300 m2, include classrooms with natural lighting and ventilation, rest areas with beds, adapted bathrooms and toilets, a psychomotor workroom, a laboratory, a semi-covered playground, and a park with a children's area. It has a dining room where purees and fruit purees are prepared according to each age and special diets, and offers extended hours, early risers, extracurricular activities, and school transportation. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 18:30, except in July, when it ends at 17:30, with flexibility according to hours of stay and meals. It also manages daycare vouchers and provides information about the 0-3 year scholarships from the Community of Madrid.
