Soto Mesa

Soto Mesa is a music school active since 1969, the year it opened its first center. It has four own centers in the municipality of Madrid, located in the Malasaña area (center), the Barrio del Pilar, and Moratalaz, and its faculty consists of more than twenty teachers. The center is authorized by the Community of Madrid to provide Elementary and Professional Music Education.

Its educational offer includes these official teachings as well as free teaching aimed at enthusiasts of any age. For children, it offers music classes adapted to different ages and the Suzuki and Max and Mia methods. It also organizes courses and workshops, and activities such as bands and combos, with a weekly session led by a dedicated teacher for the group, and the Musical Gym, a proposal without theory to make music from the first day starting at eight years old. The Music Club completes the center's offerings.

The training combines individual instrument classes with theoretical subjects in small groups, and is complemented by commented auditions, workshops, and events in which guest teachers and those from the center participate, as well as courses and masterclasses by guest masters and performers. Available instruments include trumpet, guitar, voice, piano, violin, percussion, and saxophone, among others. The center also rents classrooms of different sizes and an auditorium to teachers who need a space to conduct classes, masterclasses, or recitals, and offers gift vouchers for one, three, or five individual classes.
