C.E.I.P. Tomás Bretón is a public educational center in Madrid, under the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid through the Madrid Capital Territorial Area Directorate. It is located in the Arganzuela district and offers Early Childhood and Primary Education. Among its services and facilities, it has a school cafeteria, school transportation, extracurricular activities, and nursing, as well as a virtual classroom for the development of academic activities, AMPA, and School Council.
The center began its journey on Paseo de Pontones as a patronage center, until the arrival of EGB, a stage it shared with CP Joaquín Costa. With the implementation of LOGSE in 1991, a land swap with the company Grupo Mahou–San Miguel took the school to its current location. In the 2003/2004 academic year, it became a reference center for students with motor disabilities. The center is named after the composer and violinist Tomás Bretón Hernández.
The school organizes open house days, held on February 18 and 19, during which interested families can visit its facilities. It also provides information about school cafeteria scholarships and assistance for students with specific educational support needs called by the Community of Madrid, along with the corresponding application deadlines for each academic year.
