Frequently asked questions

The center provides Compulsory Secondary Education (12-16 years) and Baccalaureate (16-18 years), with Spanish and English.

The Instituto de Enseñanza Secundaria Gran Capitán was established as a result of the agreement signed by the MEC and the Ministry of Defense on June 2, 1978. In 1988, it became exclusively administered by the Ministry of Education and Science.

The center is one of the fifteen Institutes of Technological Innovation that were launched in the 2010-2011 school year, aimed at promoting the use of information and communication technologies as a learning tool in Compulsory Secondary Education.

It started with 1st year of Compulsory Secondary Education in the 2010-2011 school year and was gradually expanded to all courses of this stage until reaching 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education in the 2013-2014 school year.

The center has eleven technological classrooms equipped with 25 or 30 computer stations, a digital panel, and internet connection, as well as virtual classrooms for each course and subject on the EducaMadrid platform. The number of technological classrooms allows at least half of the student's overall schedule to be taught within these classrooms.

The departments of Drawing, Geography and History, Mathematics, and Technology are part of this project.
