Real Conservatorio Profesional De Danza Mariemma

The Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma is a public center of the Community of Madrid, affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Research. It offers Elementary Dance Education with two pathways: Classical Option and Common Option. In the Professional Degree, it offers three specialties: Classical Dance, Spanish Dance, and Contemporary Dance. Its origins date back to 1830, and since September 2016, it has been located in a historic building of the Finca de Vista Alegre, in the Carabanchel district of Madrid. It has a library, cafeteria, school transport, and English teaching, and is located near metro and commuter train stations.

The center has the LARREAL choreographic workshop, in operation since 1992, aimed at providing students with stage experience and enabling them to be part of dance companies. Creators and choreographers have collaborated with this workshop, and its students participate in national and international festivals. Additionally, the center develops projects such as the New Audience Training Days, Music and Dance on Stage 'Fridays in Dance', 'Pairing', and 'Tuesdays with Our Elders', and collaborates with various organizations and institutions. Students have received awards and recognition in national and international competitions, and a large number of alumni integrate into dance companies, including the Ballet Nacional de España, the Compañía Nacional de Danza, the London Royal Ballet, or the American Ballet Theatre.
