La Verbena De La Paloma

La Verbena de la Paloma is a public preschool located in Madrid, in the Carabanchel district. It provides the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, which covers ages 0 to 3, and its director is Carolina Villa.

The center offers a cafeteria service during school hours, which runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and has extended hours from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with breakfast and snack services. The methodology is based on discovery and experimentation through free play, with the children as protagonists. Habits, routines, and daily care are used to address the individual needs of each child, respecting their timing and enhancing their abilities, while the bond with reference adults provides the emotional security necessary for their development. The center organizes safe and welcoming spaces adapted to each child's developmental stage and uses observation and documentation to adjust proposals to each case. Free movement and initiative are also encouraged, taking care of the spaces and materials to offer new alternatives according to the developmental stage.
