About the school

The E.I. Mudarra is a public early childhood school with indirect management in the Community of Madrid that serves children aged 0 to 3 years. Its project is inspired by the pedagogy of Loris Malaguzzi, who understands that children possess multiple languages and ways of thinking, playing, and expressing themselves. The students are organized by levels: two classrooms for ages 0 to 1, five classrooms for ages 1 to 2, and five classrooms for ages 2 to 3. The team consists of a director, a coordinator, and an educator per classroom, with shared support, in addition to two cooks.

The classrooms are the main space of the center, designed to promote autonomous play and adapted when necessary to attend to feeding and sleeping, inviting children to participate in routines. The school has a large outdoor space surrounding it, a room for movement proposals, and, in the entrance area, a family corner intended for sharing moments of play, snacks, or breastfeeding.

Among its services, it offers extended hours, from 7:30 to 9:00 and from 16:00 to 17:30, during which students have breakfast or snacks in the classrooms. It has its own dining room and kitchen, where balanced menus are prepared under the supervision of a nutritionist. The school schedule is from 9:00 to 16:00. Before the admission process, the school organizes open house days to showcase how it works, its educational project, the facilities, and the application process.
