Luz

Luz Casanova Embajadores School is a religious institution located in the Arganzuela district of Madrid. It was founded in 1954 by the initiative of the congregation of the Apostolic Sisters of the Heart of Jesus, who, following the wishes of their founder, Luz Casanova, created schools so that unschooled children could feel welcomed, cared for, and have opportunities to learn. Since September 2010, it has been part of the Education and Gospel Foundation, belonging to the network of Catholic Schools in Madrid.

The center has more than 600 students distributed across early childhood education, primary education, and compulsory secondary education (ESO), and also offers Dual Bachillerato. It defines itself as a center that believes in the comprehensive education of individuals and works from educational innovation, with a set of pedagogical programs aimed at making students the protagonists of their own learning. Family participation is considered a fundamental part of the project. Among its initiatives are active recesses in secondary education, linked to well-being and coexistence, and pedagogical days directed at families to showcase the work in the classrooms.

In terms of services, it offers a cafeteria for all students who request it, with healthy, balanced, and varied food through the catering service Enasui. It has a range of extracurricular activities that include robotics, chess, dance, and rhythmic gymnastics, as well as the communication tool Educamos, which allows for academic tracking and contact with teachers. The center provides uniforms for all educational stages and prepares official Cambridge exams. Additionally, it has a multimedia gallery and offers information about scholarships and aids, as well as about the admission period. Teaching is conducted in Spanish, with the presence of English.
