Casa Nido

Casa Nido is a private early childhood center for children aged 0 to 3 years located in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, which develops its educational project following the Montessori pedagogy. Its proposal is structured around three pillars: the Montessori pedagogy itself, free movement, and natural bilingualism. The center is defined as a respectful and carefully prepared space to accompany children in their early years, where autonomy, curiosity, and learning through experience are encouraged, respecting each child's individual pace.

The Montessori methodology places the child at the center of learning. Among its principles are autonomous learning through exploration, a prepared environment that facilitates independence, the adult as a guide who accompanies without imposing, individual pace, sensory learning with concrete materials, and self-education. The work areas include practical life, sensory, language, mathematics, and culture. The center applies a mixed-age grouping approach, without exams or punishments or rewards, allowing the child to choose activities according to their interest. It has small groups, educators trained in Montessori, and a prepared environment with materials scaled and focused on sensory and motor skills.

Bilingualism in Spanish and English is naturally integrated into daily life through the One Person, One Language method, with each guide consistently using one language, so that children receive rich and meaningful exposure to English from their early years. The center prioritizes health and has technologies such as ozone machines, continuous air purifiers, and climate control systems to maintain a clean environment. It offers dining services, school transportation, early morning care, extended hours, and extracurricular activities.
