Escola Creu Del Batlle - Zer L'horta De Lleida

Escola Creu del Batlle is a public educational center in Lleida integrated into the Rural School Zone (ZER) Horta de Lleida and located in Partida Gensana. It offers the first and second cycle of early childhood education, with groups of I3, I4, and I5, as well as primary education, the latter organized into initial, middle, and upper cycles. Teaching is provided in Spanish and Catalan, and the center has a dining service.

Students work on computational thinking and robotics through the program "Robots in action," and participate in science workshops where they have researched sound, the social and cultural environment, and their own surroundings. Projects are also developed on prehistory and ancient times, on the world of bees and their role in pollination, and on sustainability, with a school garden presented to families through the scientific method. The school has participated in the Congrés Recerkids of the Universitat de Lleida presenting its research on the school garden.

In early childhood education, the "teixit d'aula" is applied, a set of questions that structure the learning of topics of interest to children. The center organizes joint outings with other schools in the ZER, such as visits to Calafell, where the Iberian Citadel was studied, and to Cal Gort. It employs digital tools like Google Classroom.
