Pequelandia

Pequelandia is a private nursery school located in León that caters to the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, for children aged 0 to 3 years. It is defined as a bilingual center, with qualified staff for teaching in English, and offers a meal service. Its opening hours extend from Monday to Friday in the morning and part of the afternoon.

The center's project is based on the idea that the first three years of life are crucial for physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as for thinking, speaking, learning, and reasoning skills. The activities carried out by the team with the children aim to promote personal autonomy, sensory perception, psychomotricity, and self-esteem. Among the objectives are socialization with other children of their age, the creation of emotional bonds with people outside the family environment, the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits, the initiation of emotional self-control, assertiveness, conflict resolution, and learning norms of coexistence, routines, and schedules. All of this takes place in a playful environment and through play.

The methodology revolves around three axes: research, through experimental situations that seek to stimulate the child and facilitate internalization through personal experience; exploration, offering opportunities and materials for them to assimilate their immediate environment; and creation, with creative processes in plastic arts, music, and body movement that favor the development of their autonomy. The center maintains open communication with families and encourages their participation. Its team includes, among other profiles, pediatricians, educators, music teachers, and psychomotor specialists, and the center declares professionalism, affection, enthusiasm, and transparency as its values.
