Peñacorada

Peñacorada is a private educational center located in León. It is part of the Arenales Educational Network, which groups more than 30 centers worldwide.

The center adopts the IAM (Innovation, Autonomy, Mentoring) competencies and values model. This model is articulated around three axes: innovation, which is realized through the integration of technology in the classroom via the iPad initiative and a 'Mobile Learning' digital curriculum development plan at all stages; autonomy, which promotes the development of soft skills such as public speaking, leadership, emotional thinking, creative thinking, and first aid; and mentoring, which is carried out through personal tutoring between teacher and student to foster self-awareness, social skills, talent utilization, and self-esteem. The educational network to which it belongs also incorporates a code of good practices, an internal regulations framework, and a equality plan, aiming to ensure equity, inclusion, and equality.

The school instills human and Christian values, such as respect for others and oneself and the importance of doing a good job, in collaboration with families. Its goal is to serve society, families, and students. Among its facilities, it has a sports complex. In October, the center organized the I Week of Hispanic Heritage, which culminated in a tribute to the flag and the Armed Forces at the sports complex, with the presence of all students. The event was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Juan Ángel Saura Cegarra from the Basic Air Academy and included representation from the Defense Subdelegation in León and the Civil Guard. It featured the national anthem, a tribute to the fallen, and a master class on the history of the flag. The center has nearby bus stops and offers the possibility to visit it to learn about its facilities and educational project.
