CEIP ISAAC DE VEGA

CEIP Isaac de Vega is a public school in Granadilla de Abona that provides Early Childhood and Primary Education, catering to students aged 3 to 12 years. It is located in the lower area of San Isidro and was inaugurated in September 2013. The school is named after the teacher and writer born in Granadilla de Abona who won the Canarias Prize for Literature in 1988.

The educational project of the school is organized around several lines of work. In the area of linguistic competence, the development of oral and written skills, as well as oral comprehension and interaction, serves as a basis for learning to read and write. In mathematics, the OAOA approach is used, and it has its own project under the name ACHINET. It also develops lines dedicated to participation and coexistence, healthy eating, and foreign languages. Within the framework of coexistence, the school follows the program "Relacionarnos bien," aimed at developing social and cognitive skills for resolving relational problems.

Among its services, the school has a cafeteria and extracurricular activities. Family participation in the school and methodological innovation are among the principles that guide its management.
