Llar D'infants El Tarlà

El Tarlà is a public nursery located in Girona, under the Department of Education and Vocational Training, which offers the first cycle of early childhood education with a capacity of 91 students. Its main objective is to promote the harmonious development of children in an environment of freedom, safety, and autonomy, addressing their basic needs at the motor, affective and emotional, intellectual, and social levels, while respecting their own rhythms.

The methodological approach of the center is based on meaningful learning through exploration and manipulation of all types of materials, especially natural ones, and addresses individual differences. The work is organized around everyday life situations, daily routines, activities, and thematic proposals that bring children closer to the cultural environment and allow them to develop the necessary capacities, skills, and strategies to live in a community.

The facilities include seven classrooms: one for children aged 0 to 1 year, three for ages 1 to 2 years, and three for ages 2 to 3 years, in addition to four landscaped play areas, a covered inner courtyard for rainy days, and a psychomotor and multipurpose classroom. It has its own kitchen for families who choose the dining service and offers instruction in Spanish and Catalan. The educational team consists of eight educators and one educator who serves as the director; the service team includes the cook, a kitchen assistant, three cleaners, and the janitor. The center maintains a blog where it publishes the school calendar, menus, fees, the student admission process, and the bidding for monitoring contracts, and has a School Council and a Parents' Association.
