Escola Jacme March is a public educational center in Gavà that offers early childhood and primary education. Students are organized into small, medium, and large cycles. Teaching is conducted in Catalan, Spanish, and English, and the center has a cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities.
The center supports its activities with resources and digital platforms from the Generalitat, including XTEC, Edu365, ARC, Merlí, Linkat, and Àgora. It has a family association (AFA) and participates in local life, such as the Fira d'Espàrrecs de Gavà, where third and fourth-grade students present a basket of seeds in the contest, and the exhibition can be visited in the Jacme March pavilion.
As part of its reading promotion plan, it develops the BiblioNetflix project, which links literature with digital competencies: students record their recommendations to work on oral expression and synthesis, as well as promote the love of reading among peers. Daily reading activities are also carried out in the classroom, such as individual and read-aloud sessions. In the upper cycle, the "Salvem el Fartet" project is implemented, focusing on endangered fish from the Delta del Llobregat, to raise awareness about the species, the threats it faces, and the involvement of students in its conservation. In third-grade mathematics, students work on challenges through cooperative groups and the envelope-passing technique. Fifth-grade students go on outings to the natural environment, such as a visit to the Parc Natural d'Olèrdola, and sixth graders perform a play in honor of Sant Jordi.
