Escola Giroi

Escola Giroi is a public center for early childhood and primary education in La Garriga. It offers early childhood and primary education stages, with Spanish and Catalan as working languages, and provides a school cafeteria service. Among the participation and management bodies and services are the AFA (association of families of students) and the school council, and the school's website provides families with documents and authorizations.

Its educational project is organized around areas such as languages, mathematics — with the Florence program —, music, physical education, and psychomotricity, and digital competence, which includes a Scratch course in primary structured by modules and sessions. Among the school's projects are Montseny a l'escola and the FAIG Program. In early childhood education, work is done with the light classroom and manipulative mathematics, and robotics is part of the center's proposals.

The school celebrated its 25th anniversary and has promoted activities such as the Setmana de l'Activitat Física. Students from 3rd to 6th grade participated in the Arcademics championship, where they achieved the fifth position worldwide in the large group category. Initiatives such as the collection of photographs prepared by the Municipal Coeducation Commission around important women in the students' lives are also included. The school's website is organized into sections for news, information for the start of the school year, services, and life at school.
