Institut Maria Aurèlia Capmany

Institut Maria Aurèlia Capmany is a public secondary school in Cornellà de Llobregat. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with an artistic modality. It has a library, cafeteria, school transport, and extracurricular activities. Teaching is conducted in Spanish and Catalan. The school library has reopened as an open space for reading, workshops, and activities.

Students participate in various projects and activities. In the Spanish Language subject, a coexistence project is worked on. Peace days, non-violence and coexistence events, International Mother Language Day, and actions against gender-based violence are celebrated. The school organizes the Milleta del MAC, a race in the surroundings where students from the institute and primary schools participate. The women's football team competes in school sports games. In the artistic field, the artistic Bachillerato presents the triennial exhibition Ciutat Cruïlla, focused on adolescent identity, and showcases their work in the library of Sant Ildefons. Musicals such as The Addams Family are also performed, in collaboration with a special education school. French students perform plays, travel blogs, and cultural visits, such as to the Castle of Carcassonne. Additionally, Bachillerato students have participated in the Ments Despertes short film competition and in talks about Joves Talents scholarships. The school recognizes students with Cornellà Apren awards and presents research work.
