Escola Doctor Ferran - ZER Terra Alta-Centre

Escola Doctor Ferran is a public school located in Corbera d'Ebre, integrated into the ZER Terra Alta-Centre. It offers early childhood education (second cycle, ages 3 to 6) and primary education (ages 6 to 12), with Catalan as the vehicular language.

The school develops various activities and projects throughout the year. Among them, students participate in the reading aloud contest organized by the Department of Education and Vocational Training, with preparation of readings and peer evaluation using rubrics. Projects such as "Discovering our village" and exploration outings in the Terra Alta region are also carried out, including visits to different towns, their history, culture, and folklore. In the artistic field, students have participated in the program "Ports, nature, and art", with workshops on nature and clay modeling. Additionally, educational robotics activities are conducted with the Cutebot robot, programmed with micro:bit, and visits from authors, such as Cinta Arasa, following prior work on their books in the classroom.

The school maintains a link with families through initiatives to promote Catalan, with classes aimed at families who are unfamiliar with the language, framed within the program "When you speak, you create magic" and resulting from an agreement with the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística of the Consell Comarcal de la Terra Alta. The center has a school library and the support of an AMPA.
