Escola Mossèn Josep Arques

Escola Mossèn Josep Arques is a public school in Cervera that offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (P3, P4, and P5), Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education. Teaching is provided in Spanish and Catalan.

The center has a school blog where it shares its educational project, various documents from the center, its facilities, educational innovation, and the AMPA space. The school participates in Escola 2.0 and the Xarxa de Competències Bàsiques.

Throughout the school year, the children's songbook is worked on, with a repertoire of songs adapted to each level of P3, P4, and P5. In the early childhood area, activities are carried out in corners where art — with compositions inspired by Joan Miró — nature, constructions, experimentation, and symbolic play are worked on. The P5 students participated in a workshop held in the auditorium and organized by the Fundació del Futbol Club Barcelona, focused on values such as respect, commitment, effort, teamwork, and solidarity. The 4th-grade students conducted a bread workshop at the Sindicat, framed within the Fira del Pa i del Cereal de Cervera, where they made Naan bread. The school year ends with a year-end party that includes the farewell of the 6th-grade students and a scavenger hunt organized by these same students.
