Institut Pere Barnils

Institut Pere Barnils is a public secondary education center located in Centelles. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), vocational training (FP) at both intermediate and higher levels, as well as a transition to work program (PTT). Among its teachings is the higher vocational training cycle in Physical Conditioning. Instruction is conducted in Catalan and Spanish. The center has a secretariat, a school council, and a parent association (AFA), and provides a space for scholarships and assistance. Nearby, there are commuter train and bus services.

Throughout the school year, the center organizes family meetings for different stages and open house days, both for ESO and post-compulsory studies. It also hosts the public presentation of the research projects from the second year of Bachillerato and participates, along with the Centelles Town Hall, in the Person-Centered Care Day, a care model that places the person at the center of attention.

Students engage in educational outings, such as a visit to the Coca-Cola factory in Martorelles by Bachillerato students from the subjects of Business Operations and Economics, and guided hiking activities to Matagalls. Additionally, the center promotes Instigag's, short three-minute theatrical performances prepared and performed by each class group based on a common thematic axis.
