Institut Mediterrània

Institut Mediterrània is a public secondary education center located in Castelldefels. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), and vocational training (FP), with intermediate and advanced cycles, as well as Training and Insertion Programs (PFI). The languages of instruction are Spanish and Catalan. The center has a Parents' Association (AFA) and uses the iEduca platform for educational management.

The center develops a wide variety of projects and activities. It publishes the +Mediterrània newsletter monthly and has a school radio. Students participate in workshops simulating the European Parliament, in Erasmus+ projects (with internships in Germany and Ireland for vocational training students), and in challenge fairs such as FPChallenge. Artistic exhibitions, graduation ceremonies, and celebrations like Sant Jordi are organized. Additionally, the Batxibac program is offered, allowing students to obtain dual qualifications in Bachillerato and Baccalauréat. Exchanges with foreign centers, such as Europaschule in Langerwehe, and cultural outings to various destinations are also conducted.

The center has its own educational project and promotes student participation in initiatives such as creating displays for open house days by students from Commercial Activities. Guidance and training activities for students are also carried out.
