Escola Els Arenys

Escola Els Arenys is a public center in Castellbisbal that offers the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) and the Primary stage (6-12 years). Spanish and Catalan are its working languages. Students are organized into three cycles — small, medium, and large — and each cycle has its own blogs, where the center shares experiences, discoveries, ideas, and projects.

The center participates in the Florence Program and develops its own projects and themes. Among the activities listed on its website are outings such as the visit of 5th-grade students to Park Güell, where students acted as guides after prior preparation and research; the visit of the small cycle to Colònia Güell, with groups like Sols, Vitralls, and Xemeneies; and the outing of the medium cycle to the Municipal Library. There are also documented works of plastic expression, such as sewing in 1st grade, which focuses on fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity, as well as the existence of a school garden.
