Escola Montbui

Escola Montbui is a public center in Caldes de Montbui that organizes its students into three communities: Petits, Mitjans, and Grans. It offers early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education (ESO), and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18), with the presence of Catalan, Spanish, and English. It has a cafeteria, school transportation, and extracurricular activities.

The center works with globalized learning proposals designed to promote student autonomy, allowing them to choose the activity they want to engage in and reflect on how it went afterward. In the Petits community, micro-learning spaces are organized as environments for relationship and communication. In early childhood education, the mathematical area is approached through manipulation and experience, working on concepts such as geometry, numeration, decomposition, counting, and sequencing, and projects linking art and nature have been developed. In primary education, science and experimentation projects have been carried out, such as the one dedicated to the origin of hot water in the thermal baths.

The center has the school radio Ràdio Montbui, from which fifth-grade students create podcasts about literature and music. It also participates in the Jornada del Ben Jugat, where students from schools in Caldes engage in cooperative sports activities, and in scientific outreach initiatives with talks by women scientists. The cafeteria team has received training in linguistic awareness, and the faculty has conducted working sessions on learning disorders.
