The Col·legi Mare de Déu de Montserrat, known as "Els Frares", is an educational center founded in 1920 by the Capuchin friars of the Province of Catalonia and Balearic Islands. It is currently managed by the Fundació Col·legi Mare de Déu de Montserrat and offers first cycle early childhood education (0-3 years), second cycle early childhood education (3-6 years), primary education (6-12 years), and compulsory secondary education (12-16 years). Its educational project is framed within a Christian conception of the person, life, and the world, and is specified in seven basic objectives that include oral and written expression, foreign language learning, the use of information and communication technologies, awareness of Catalan identity, integral education, creativity, and cooperative work. The center was recognized as a Green School in 2015 and joined the Escola Nova 21 program in 2017.
