Institut Consell De Cent

Institut Consell de Cent is a public secondary school located in the Poble-Sec neighborhood of Barcelona, in the Sants-Montjuïc district. It offers compulsory secondary education (ESO), Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18) with an Artistic modality, and vocational training (FP) at the higher level. It uses digital platforms such as Moodle, Edu365, or the Àgora environment, and communicates with families through Ieduca.

The institute works with interdisciplinary projects and synthesis credits. For example, 3rd year of ESO completed a synthesis credit on travel planning, and 2nd year of ESO worked on globalized projects. Workshops on audiovisual communication (cinematic language, drawn sequences) and artistic techniques such as Pop-Up are offered in the optional EVP subject. Students from 4th year of ESO in vocational training participate in the Enginy program, "Fem Cine" workshop of Projecte Reacciona, where they write, direct, shoot, act, and edit short films. The 4th year of ESO Artistic Expression students co-created with artist teresa w in the Artistes EN RESiDÈNCiA program. The 4th year of ESO Entrepreneurship students created the cooperative CONSELL MERCH and organized a football tournament. 3rd year of ESO visited the Parliament of Catalonia, and 1st year of Social Bachillerato participated in a meeting with the mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, from the Social Issues subject. Sant Jordi is celebrated with outings to La Rambla to see the book and rose stalls.

In 2025-2026, more than 65% of 4th year of ESO was in the upper range in the basic competencies tests. Two students from 2nd year of Bachillerato, Hira Bashir and Alexis Caringal, won the third prize in the 25th Martí Pous i Serra Youth Award (Centre d'Estudis Ignasi Iglésias) for their research "Creació refugi climàtic". Graduation ceremonies are held for 4th year of ESO and 2nd year of Bachillerato, and support is provided to 2nd year of Bachillerato at the start of the PAU. At the beginning of the school year, there are meetings with families of 1st year of ESO and staggered entry on the first day.
