Escola Víctor Català

Escola Víctor Català is a public educational center in Barcelona, located in the Nou Barris district, that offers the second cycle of early childhood education (3-6 years) and primary education (6-12 years) in Spanish and Catalan. The students are organized into three communities: Petits, Mitjans, and Grans. The center has a school cafeteria service and a family association (AFA), and uses the Dinantia platform for communication with families.

Throughout the school year, the center carries out various complementary activities and projects. The early childhood education students go on trips to rural environments, such as the Can Gel and Can Mogent farms, where they participate in circus-related activities. In primary education, the fourth grade develops a school garden project that includes the preparation of healthy recipes, and the sixth-grade students participate in the Global Harvest Game, a simulation activity where families take on the role of members of a municipal council to make decisions about a city's food system. The upper grades have also participated in a discussion linked to the film El 47, with the visit of two people related to the real story that inspires it.

The center organizes back-to-school meetings with families to present the organization and functioning of the academic year. Additionally, it has unveiled a mural designed by the illustrator Mireia Crea, in which the students participated along with their families.
