Escola Calderón De La Barca

Escola Calderón de la Barca is a public school in Barcelona, located in the Nou Barris district, offering early childhood and primary education. The center organizes its students into three groups: Petits, Mitjans, and Grans, and provides a school meal service and a welcoming classroom. The school uses both Spanish and Catalan.

Throughout the year, the center organizes various activities and projects. Students go on outings to the surroundings, such as visits to Parc Central de Nou Barris or a farm, and participate in sports days that include events like the biathlon, featuring swimming and running. In the classroom, experimentation and discovery projects are carried out, including work on light and sound, the use of light tables, and monitoring the life cycle of silkworms. Cooperative and symbolic play activities are also conducted in a playroom.

The school has a family association (AFA) that collaborates in the life of the center. Students from the welcoming classroom have participated in community radio initiatives. At the end of the stage, a graduation ceremony is held for sixth-grade students, where second-grade students present the yearbook to their sponsors.
