Paideia

El Col·legi Paideia is a semi-private educational center recognized by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, located in Barcelona and specialized in the education of individuals with functional diversity. It offers Primary Education, Secondary Education, and a Vocational Training Program (PFI).

Its educational project promotes personalized, inclusive, and innovative education aimed at fostering autonomy, emotional growth, and the overall learning of each student. The teaching combines collaborative and individual activities and enhances manipulative and technological skills, with psychomotricity and sports as key elements for body awareness and teamwork. Each student has a personalized plan, with an adapted curriculum and specific materials, a multisensory approach, and technology in the classroom, and the center maintains constant communication with families.

Among its services and facilities, it offers morning care, a dining room with its own kitchen, extracurricular activities, psychopedagogical support, speech therapy, physiotherapy, guidance, school outings, weekend camps, summer activities, and a daycare. The center was founded in 1957 by educator Irene Gimeno with the mission of supporting children with learning difficulties, providing adapted education and various alternatives for their future. The Fundació 1957 is responsible for managing the resources it raises to promote new educational, labor, housing, and leisure projects.
