About the school

Escola Lluís Vives is a public school in Barcelona. It is a small, single-line school that organizes its students into communities: the small community, made up of I3, I4, and I5; the medium community, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades; and the large community, with 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. It offers Early Childhood Education and Primary Education with a Spanish curriculum and operates in both Spanish and Catalan. Once the primary stage is completed, students can continue their secondary studies at Institut Lluís Vives.

The school hours for Early Childhood Education and Primary Education students are from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM in the afternoon. During the first days of the school year, I3 students have a staggered entry to facilitate their adaptation to the school.

Among its services, the school has a cafeteria, extracurricular activities, AMPA, and a school radio. In foreign language classes, the principle that comprehension precedes production is followed: before starting to read and write, students develop their oral skills through listening and speaking.
