Escola Barcelona

Escola Barcelona is a public educational center for early childhood and primary education located in the Les Corts district of Barcelona. It offers the first cycle of Early Childhood Education (0-3), the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6), and the Primary stage (6-12), with Spanish and Catalan as languages. It is a double-line center from I3 to 6th grade.

The educational project of the center is structured around cooperative learning, competency-based learning, and emotional education, with attention to diversity and the integral education of students. From I3 to 6th grade, the CA/AC Program (Cooperate to Learn / Learn to Cooperate) is followed, aimed at teaching students to work in teams through a structure of activities in small groups where students help each other. The active methodology places the student at the center of learning, promoting participation, research, and experimentation. The center combines different pedagogical approaches to address diversity and enhance multiple intelligences, with meaningful and functional learning activities related to students' prior knowledge and with varying degrees of solution or response.

Emotional education is part of the center's work, with the aim of helping students learn to manage their own emotions, such as controlling anger, understanding fear, accepting mistakes, developing empathy, and building good self-esteem. The center has blogs for Early Childhood, Initial, Middle, and Upper cycles.
