The Istituto Italiano Statale Comprensivo di Barcellona is a center with two campuses that organizes its activities into two sections for each educational cycle. Its offerings include primary school, lower secondary school, and upper secondary school, in the scientific high school modality. At the campus where primary and lower secondary education is provided, it shares space with the Scuola dell'Infanzia Italiana Paritaria.

The curriculum follows the model of the Italian school, adapted to the environment in which the center operates. It incorporates subjects from the local curriculum, allowing for the recognition of studies completed before the local educational authorities. The main language of instruction is Italian, and the linguistic curriculum at each level also includes Catalan, Spanish, and English.

The center carries out its own projects and initiatives and maintains international exchanges with other schools, including one with the New Delhi Public School. It has its own school calendar, an enrollment procedure, and a channel for submitting complaints in accordance with local regulations, within its framework of transparent administration.
