Mare De Déu Del Coll

Escola Mare de Déu del Coll is a private educational center located in Barcelona, in the Horta-Guinardó district. It provides education from I-3 to ESO-4, allowing students to complete their schooling from ages 3 to 16 in the same school. It is a single-line center that is part of the Fundació Concòrdia Solidària and has a unique character linked to evangelization and pastoral care.

The center offers instruction in Spanish, Catalan, and English, with special emphasis on English during the Early Childhood stage, where periods of linguistic immersion are conducted through activities such as Arts and Psychomotricity. In Early Childhood, music is also taught, with two hours per week, along with psychomotricity, gardening, learning corners, manipulation, experimentation, and play. The teaching staff creates an environment of trust and affection so that students can take charge of their learning, laying the foundations for literacy, mathematical skills, and the use of ICT, while attending to personal enrichment, emotional recognition and control, and social, ethical, and moral skills. Available services include a cafeteria, school transport, extracurricular activities, and a swimming pool.

The center's methodology includes cooperative learning, group work, and peer learning, with cohesion as the basis for learning. It has three playgrounds as common spaces. It organizes activities such as Espai Migdia, a summer camp for children aged 3 to 12, literary contests (for Primary, short stories, and reading aloud), the internal Sant Jordi contest in ESO, sustainability and robotics projects, and outings. It is certified in the #AquíProuBullying innovation program from the Departament d'Educació.
