Institut Montserrat Roig

Institut Montserrat Roig is a public educational center in Barcelona that offers compulsory secondary education (ESO) and Bachillerato (upper secondary, ages 16–18). Among its particularities, it provides the opportunity to combine music studies with ESO and Bachillerato through the validation of subjects. Teaching is conducted in Catalan and Spanish.

The center has its own educational project and linguistic project, as well as a digital strategy. Its teaching structure is organized into departments of Catalan language and literature, Spanish language and literature, classical culture, foreign languages, mathematics, natural sciences, technology, social sciences, expression — plastic, visual, and audiovisual — physical education, and music, in addition to a guidance and diversity support service. In terms of services, it has a library, school cafeteria, extracurricular activities, school mediation, book reuse, and digital services. Among its projects is the space "Cafè amb famílies," aimed at dialogue and reflection with families.

The institute also develops interdisciplinary and quarterly projects, such as theatrical performances based on classical Greek works staged by first-year ESO students, and celebrates events such as the graduation of fourth-year ESO students at the end of the stage.
